Last Day in Seville

We wanted to walk around the neighborhoods by the Quadalquivir River on our last day in Seville.  It is not as touristy but there is lots to see.

The Plaza de Torros de la Maestranza de Caballeria de Seville is a 12,000 seat bullring and is considered on of the finest in Spain.  Completed in 1881, it is one of the oldest operating bullrings in the world.  Here in Seville, unlike Barcelona, bullfighting is still a very popular event.

Overlooking the Toro de Oro (Tower of Gold) which was a watchtower built in 1221 to control access to Seville via the Guadalquivir River.  It get's its name from the color it turns at sunset.
